You Sir, are a retard -

What is You Tube known for? It is the epitome of all public copy write infringement known to man.. This is the email I just got -

"Video Disabled
A copyright owner has claimed it owns some or all of the audio content in your video World Of Warcraft Raid on Tarren Mill by NSS. The audio content identified in your video is Name Of The Game by The Crystal Method. We regret to inform you that your video has been blocked from playback, due to a music rights issue."

So a video that i've had up for 2 years now with almost 100k view, is just NOW getting nailed for "copy write infringement" (CI). Besides I thought it was CI only if you made a profit with it. Are you serious though! at least 90% of all videos on YouTube have some well known artist music in the back ground, and theres no way in hell some kid got permission to. And you don't need to pay some half-whit member of the "YouTube Content Identification Team" to do a retarded job like that. If your going to go after some guy like me who's just having fun with video - than ban that other 90%, cause if you did - YouTube wouldn't be anywhere it is today.

On the other hand - according to their web site, someone who owns permission to the copy write has to report it in order for a video to get taken down. Which would explain why YouTube is so flooded with copy write awesomeness. But that also means someone who own the rights to The Crystal Method song Name Of The Game, saw my video and went "You son-of-a-bitch" and was SO mad - they actually took the time out of their day to get it taken off a well known media source of the internet, Which I think is actually pretty cool. In any case - Piss off! and go find something honorable to do you smuck!

OMGZ NEOPETS

Actually I know nothing about neopets, but Jen has had a neopet online for years. So now that she found out they are selling Neopet toys at Burger King, its Da-Ja-Vu for me, and were constantly getting kids meals lol. DaJaVu cause when I was around 12 my mom went to every BK in Illinois for beanie baby toys. Lets just say she now has an entire plastic container (the kind you save a shit load of wrapping paper) full of beanie babys. Fast food as a kid was no "treat" for me though, and I didnt get fat so dont blame it on them! well after seeing the movie super size me, you can.

Took this awesome picture of our cat in the window last night. I love our new camera, it makes taking pictures more fun with clicky noises and ticks. Anyways here it is! Also just added a pic of my AV in SL to the right. Honestly though.. its to subtle and not me at all. Theres no explosions in the background, no sexual references defacing pop cultures in the background, AND NO COW BELL! Its alright for the first one though, I just now found that add-on. DarRrr
Me and Jen hung out for a bit in SL. And played warhammer of course, we keep trying to wake up at 8 am but that never works out... think I have to find a job that will accommodate to my sleeping needs and wants... guess thats not the Air Force huh? lol

Old logic with new wrapping paper = sexy time!

So after getting back from Iraq a couple weeks ago, I've subconciously decided to fall off the radar of society, and into the human natural habitat of lazyness, and it rules... lol I mostly blame this on MMO's because they're addicting as hell. My English research essay on video game addictio says so, and since I got a "B" on it, I must of said something right in it. In any case im slowly getting back into my groove of doing things and making stuff. Jen's all ready been doing a BUNCH of paintings. All of which you can see on her Manic Static blog (she still needs to add a bunch), which is cool. I've been dancing around the world of sculpties, and I think I made dinner last night! that means im being productive again!

So check it out, we always get asked to film more weddings in SL even though we havnt done it for over half a year. And we get comments all the time saying thanks for the tutorial videos which is wicked. But no one has actually shown us what they've made after watching our videos. And check it out, Tosebari Serpente in SL hooked us up with his first build - Carrot Armwarmers bitches! Which is better than the first peice of crap I built when I started (see right side picture). So hey great job, and keep it up! BTW I make saw arms and shit now... so dont think im still making these kick ass discolored wood men! DONT JUDGE ME!

As for the title: Ive decided to stay up all night instead of going to bed at 6am like me and Jen have been for the past week. I need to start getting into that daytime awake time thing again If I ever plan on not falling asleep at work :P just another week and 1/2 of free leave! w00t!

I hate you with an iron fist....

I've never denyed the face that Macs are great. I just dont like them because of the limited about of software I can "aquire" for a Mac. With that said, I join sides with my fellow OS haters, in saying "Up yours Windows". After I installed a new hard drive a couple weeks ago, I randomly recieved a "Missing Ntoskrnli.exe" file. After googling on Jen's computer, and trying all the fixes, nothing worked. Having several hard drives I simply reinstalled it and lost nothing in the process.
This is besides the fact though. The only reason why windows is so popular and we all grew up with it, is because Microsoft was what they call "The first to market". The first big company of its type to hit the big market. Just like coke, and how many people in the South area of the US call any kind of soda "Coke". Either way, with all your money - make something worth a damn, and a product you can be proud to put your name on. Its not like this is my first run in with some BS Microsoft OS problem either.
Thats about it, I just needed to vent because I'll never understand how some products make it to market and are distributed to the masses. Kinda like the American Penny. I think once a year for the past 8 years someone has told me they are still trying to phase it out. Because the penny cost more to produce, than its even worth.
In any case! Its 1.70 a pound now!! w00t!! it was $2 bucks to the pound when we first got to the UK. Later days!

And WARHAMMER WINS...the MMORPG war

The past few days me and Jen have been playing WARHAMMER Online, its only right to finally do a proper post regarding how much more awesome it is than the slow bus of WoW. (which we also played to lv70, so we have a good grasp).

Eve looses because - even though its a great idea, sexy looking, and has one of the most wicked death penalty in the history of MMO's, it is also the most tedious games probably ever made. World of Warcraft is child's play, and after playing Warhammer, it feels like your playing a dumb down MMO for kids. While on the other hand.. Warhammer is constant war, fighting, and always watching your ass. The skill professions are even more fun than WoW's. Not to add the RVR is the way to go, and its much easier to raid the other teams side's of the world and raise hell. Granted it has just been released, so there are a bugs just like every game ever released. Speaking of which, what a better segue than now to upload my own WAR glitched pics.

So I keep attempting to get back into the graphic designing but Warhammer keeps destracting me lol. Im just dabbing into the programs, nothing to serious cause im learning it on my own which is a pain in the ass. Oh and Jens birthday was 2 nights ago, YAY! she didnt really wanna go out and do anything but I did buy her something while I was downrange. Its hard to buy birthday presants when your gone!

Anyways im going to continue to milk these free days I have off work by just being lazy for now! lol Have a good one! ...WAAAGH!!!

3D Graphics is a GO!

I just got done finishing my crash course into creating sculpties for Second Life, and damn is it a lot to learn. Making sculpties is easily one of the most intimidating things you can do in SL. Mostly because you see awesome graphics real designers do, and SL isnt use to that kind of bad ass work. Heres an example of good shit-
Now: my n00b attempt - Its a penguin with a mow-hawk thing... or just a melted down bird.

In any case, my first time building was just as bad. And if you know me, I've come from that - to now a store with random cyberpunk stuff that is actually making me money! so Yip Yip! Either way I dont think it gets worse than this atleast, so I cant go downhill very far. Not bad for my first day though!
After being downrange in Iraq for 4 months, ive fallen far behind everything that is going on. Theres nothing I hate more than joining a trend when it hits the peak. Either way I have a bunch of new 3D graphic programs I've been playing with, and i'm just seeing what I like to use best. The biggest challenge is making sure the model is even able to upload into SL. With Zbrush it seems to be the easiest, and also Lightwave, but I havnt jumped into that yet for texturing.
After hours of reading up on Sculpties and watching videos, I have to give a HUGE thanks to http://www.shiny-life.com/. Where they have some great tutorials, and the Zbrush converter you will need to upload into SL. I'm pretty burnt out with that crap now so it looks like me and the wifey are gonna hit up the WARRRHAMMERRR!!!.

Weee!! Crap load of updates

First off I'm work until the 23ed of October!!!!! SoI'm gonna start hardcore geeking it up.
Now that I'm finally home I've been working at getting back into the groove of things. Me and Jen have been around each other each second of the day, started playing video games together again, and now hanging out in our office that we organized. To include Jen getting her new computer!! and of course it has a million LED lights on it.

I also bought all kinds of goodies for mine. 3 new hard drives, and 2 new hard drive coolers, which look more like a car stereo amp. This also means I made a total mess of the living room. The coolers also come with 2 LED fans each in front.

and HOLY CRAP, for someone like me, you don't realize how much you missed bass until you go on a 4 month deployment. I've been constantly listening to Winamp techno, house, and electronic music every moment I get. I also just got 3D max studio again, i'm looking at really getting into it and possibly make something of it, Its just shit I really enjoy and have a passion for. Just like film, I just have to learn this first.

And just like many geeks, I gotta have a variety of gaming going on. In which case me and Jen started up WARHAMMERRRRR \m/ so far its pretty bad ass, why? Because its constant war! and you dont have to wait for it. Unlike WoW (even on a PvP server) you dont have to wait for battles, more so a group to play with because War sets you up automatically.

**Major dork alert**Now with the game just releasing we have seen out handful of bugs. which is great because they're always amusing to run into. Heres 2 of which we and the wifey ran into. 1st one is a jacked up avatar running. 2ed one is a rock spell that was cased on her, and it just sticks constantly even when running around and jumping.
.
I will be updating a lot more than I use to finally! Laterdays!

I'm Home!

A quick update
Finally just arrived home and I have a million pictures to upload. It feels SO good to finally be home. I'm still waiting on a few more boxes that I sent my self APO to APO for free. I still have my computer to work on since the hard drive took a dump, and we are still waiting on Jens new computer in the mail. When she first got it, the computer has a bad motherboard. I also have a few boxes to mail out to the guys back in Iraq. Just a few inside jokes and goodies. Also I have to mail out my boxes to Eric and Rico with a few things from down range. Nothing illegal! Anyways, I gotta go and continue to hang out with my wife =)

Hey everyone!

Hope all is well in Second Life and your other gaming worlds. I've been responding to my Second Life messages through my email. So feel free to continue contacting me in Second Life. I'm counting down the days I have left in Iraq! and cannot wait to get back home.
Take care fellow g33ks!

finally! Internet!

So much for trying to catch up with Massively.com, every time I try to access it, the page will start to load, than crash. With all the filters on every computer and limited access here, the only place I've been able to get gaming news is CNN. Well and also the magazines they have at the PX. On a differant dorkie note, I bought all kinds of goodies for when I get home – Special thanks to Newegg.com, Cyberguys.com and some other website I found in one of those magazines. It's going to be like a super geeks Christmas. Only 1 more month in Iraq w00t!

Also I've been trying to keep up with friends on my facebook and myspace, but the Internet is so temperamental here, its damn near impossible. So if you guys are reading the blog, WHATS UP! As for NaturalSelectionStudios.com the site will still be down for at least 2 more months. After it got hacked for no reason – I have a lot of recovering to do and a backing up when I get home. Hopefully I can still get a lot of my “unfinished videos” off my old hard drive since it also took a dump.

On the bright side my college course is over in 1 week, and I'm one more class away from my degree. I've gathered over 60 gigs of music from everyone at work here. Oh and I got to see the new Batman, WALL-E, and Wanted (which is an awesome movie).

Think I'm done with this little update because it has at least taken me an hour to do it with this Internet.

+1 for Addictions

Last night I found out something that me and our commander have in common, and thats “Scrubs”. Before I left me and Jen watched seasons 1-3, last night I found out our commander has 4-6 with him. Like a catatonic hospital patient, I sat and watched seven and a half hours worth of scrubs last night. To top it off, one of the other guys bought seasons 1-3 of House. After watching 4 hours of House today, I realized I might have a problem, I'm addicted to smart ass hospital shows. Yes this does also include Gray's Anatomy, that was the time I cheated on Scrubs. Never the less I quickly found my self relating to Zack Braff from Scrubs once again, and wishing I was a level 23 wizard master like him. Instead im a level 70 Dwarf Hunter in World of Warcraft, which is like saying i'm 53 in a kids hacky sack race.

Which reminds me I have a research paper I need to write, what is it on? I thought you'd never ask – video game addiction! Not saying I have one, I'm more of a virtual world addict. But I'm also addicted to bubble wrap and putting pens in my ear. Which does remind me of the time I got fired from my job. It was the first 3 days I played Second Life, didn't sleep for either day, I decided to stroll into work randomly during the week. Hey I was living with my parents still DONT JUDGE ME!

Time to go and pretend to write my paper! One more class and I have my degree! YAY! No idea what hell I'm going to do with it ... but hell why not!

Holy BaJesus! ... and other stuff

First off how the hell does someone get sick in Iraq? the past three days I somehow came down with the cold. I only brought one other person down with me and that was my supervisor, would have been better to get someone else sick other than him of all people.

BTW I probably have PTSD now, but not from war. So I'm leaning against a wall in our office, which is a poorly constructed wood mess. All of a sudden I head the chattering of feet run past my ear, much like the noise "Thing" makes from the Adams Family. As I freak out and jump back from the wall, I realize its a damn camel spider the side of my entire hand, fingers and all! almost wetting my self at the thought of it centimeters from my ear, so I high kicked the wall like a cartoon character loosing his balance. never the less, on July 16th "Mr Wiggles" died via boot in the face. Here I though they only ate bugs, but yes they eat lizards and anything else they can find.

In other news... Me and Jen might be working with Harold/Solent University again! I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, but it does involve Second Life and the power of awesome (that's right, the Nintendo 1989 Power Glove).
I wont be updating as much as I wanted to, blogger.com was just banned on our network at work. In any case I'll hit up the NWR now and than to keep it going.

Keep it real everyone! and later days.

The Google Metaverse

Wow I should be guying some Google stock right now if I could afford it. I just read an awesome article talking about Google starting up a metaverse with Google Earth. It also makes me want to read Snow Crash. This is nothing new though, Google Earth originally was created to become ground work for a video game metaverse idea. One of the major problems I see off the bat is all the legal battles. Of course Google would say "We are not accountable for what you create and upload, and you do so at your own risk". But once you have hundreds of thousands of people creating copyright material, its hard to keep up. Just like how YouTube has 10 hours worth of video uploaded every minuet, so they have released a statement "we try to police it the best we can". It will also be interested to see when laws start getting passed that apply to metaverses. I believe it was England (either way it was another country and not the US), who passed a law regarding child age play in a sexual manner. This is just the tip of the iceberg for "wrongful" activity that goes on in Metaverse.

It’s a board topic though. And it would be very exciting if such an event as google buying Second Life, or if they created a better world. I have a feeling it wouldn’t include free building and uploading options to create whatever you wanted. Google seems to always have their projects pretty well under control. And letting a wild society such as ourselves :) loose in a free world like Second Life (that didn’t crash) may be too much for them to handle.

I also went mail out the Iraq coke bottles filled with sand but they had a problem with me mailing our organic material... In any case they said I could take it in a bag I checked in under the plane hah. That way I can hook Eric, Sonny, and the parents up with a little something.

The new Batman comes out tonight! ENJOY IT!!!

E3 2007 w007!

For 3 days now G4 has been covering the E3 gaming convention for hours on end. Couple things made me go WTF? I thought little big world came out all ready, considering a demo was release almost 2 years ago for it. Banjo Kazooie still isnt ever worth playing, yet they decided to make a new one. And they really need to stop talking about releasing games early as hell, because they’ve been working on HOME for Playstation since 2005 and were all ready hyping it up. Its just annoying as hell cause they’re a bunch of gaming cock-teasers.

A new F.E.A.R. is also coming out along with a shit load of other bad ass FPS. Gotta say this is defiantly one of those games you have to play in the dark, because its just that much more fun. They have a new Mech suit in the game, along with continuing the story where it left off. Where that crazy little girl is still alive after a wicked explosion. Its such a great era for seeing how games develop. Cant wait to see how video games will be in 10 years.
So the computer at home still can’t connect to the internet. I have to baby it when I get back home, just a little bit more time now! the closer it gets the slower it seems though. When we first got here the days just went flying by. I’m gonna head out cause I plan on mailing out some Haji Iraq coke bottles, fill em up with Iraq sand or something. I went to mail out Haji cans to Eric and Rico but they turned me down at the post office, and gave me that "wtf" look. I than responded with the crazy eyes until they wet them self’s.

NaturalSelectionStudios.com Hacked

So some jerk-ass hacked the NSS site. Why? who knows because its not like we've been keeping it updated 24/7. Still, we were hitting 17k hits (on a high) a month somehow which is really cool. I took a screenshot before I had the website taken offline.

I took the website down in June, that why the site hit such a low so fast. Ever since, I've been trying to find a way to get filezilla working in Iraq to upload everything, but that’s a no-go. In any case a LOT is going on and nothing can be done until I get back from Iraq. Also TODAYS MY BIRTHDAY!!! yay!!! *does a booty dance* birthday in Iraq w00t w00t.

On another totally random subject - I took No Xplode today ... I've come to the conclusion its pure Columbia heroin. Every minuet I was at the gym, I didn’t even want to stop to take a rest. My body wanted to work out faster than I could even breath. It was pretty wicked though because for a while now I haven’t felt like working out, and that stuff really gives you a good kick in the ass to go out and do it. Coolest thing to is that it has nothing to do with caffeine. It’s a hyper..blah blah something that makes your blood vessels bigger so more blood gets to your muscles. Than also has this other energy magic boost stuff in it. Lets just say – it tells you not to open the container for 15 minuets even after you open it.

So I’m debating on bringing NSS (renamed) into the real world instead of just in virtual worlds. Granted we've worked with some great companies and big names; like Boomer Esiason, Infident Mind, we were in Vox Pop Magazine (French) 2 pages, and worked with our good friend H. Fricker with Kent University, who invited us to give a speech at South Hampton University. But sitting down all day at a computer really get dull after a while, and it’s hard to keep your drive up. Jen and I have been talking about it a little here and there, so who knows what will happen or what we decide. Oh and the show G4 rules, they’ve been playing it like crazy here in Iraq haha.

~Later day’s fellow gamers!
