Mowing pavement

You would think in a country that rains all the time, plants wouldn’t grow as fast. But holy crap! Our garden has become a jungle in just a matter of weeks. I even had to mow all the plants/weeds in the cracks of our big cement patio. It’s pretty bad when you almost have to mow your driveway. I also had to charge up the weed-wacker again, because there were so many the battery even ran out.

The beer fest went great, didnt hit up the gaming fest this year cause it was really just a bunch of venders last year, it was nice doing something differant though. Me and my buddy were the only ones that drank at the beer fest, then walked around Cambridge hah. Had some pretty good beer which they were out of by 6pm. Even a decent coffee beer. Even ran into a plethora of guys from work there. Then the wife's had a girls night out while me and flint were at his place being stuck with the kid who was actually asleep the entire time. Haha until his wife came tumbling through the door speaking a 3ed language, which only 2 she knows.

So me and Jen like dinner partys now! Yay! Until they move and we have to make new friends L can always play LOTRO with em though!

Cheers!

Newegg wins again!!!

Its been just under a week, and my new video cards all ready here!!! W00t!!!! and holy crap is it huge. almost bigger then when I ran SLI's on my 3 year old card that just crapped out. Back when bad ass video cards were expensive. I love technology, They make such bad ass video cards now for just under $200 bucks, that no game pushes their limits. Now if your doing extreme rendering and creating in 3D programs that's something different. I dont think you can ever have a bad ass enough video card for rending.

So its in its now home!! and back to LOTRO!!! Bought my buddy flints his big ass house. Lets just say I found some common items that people LOVE buying that are really dirt cheap. And I resell them for 200X the price I payed lol. So i use that money to help my friends in game get stuff. Cambridge beer fest this weekend! and Nerd expo in London!!! Its also spontaneous Flowers for Jen day!!!! I bought the yellow ones but got the rest from the backyard =D YAY LOVE!!!!

Cheers mates!

If you dont stand behind our troops, your more than welcome to stand infront of them

With out saying to much, some guys from work will be playing in the sand for a bit. When I went, I know there are a lot of things I wish I did bring, and stuff I wish I didn't, that you could just get downrange. One of the biggest items I wish i brought, was more entertainment - like movies, shows etc... So for the past few days Ive been borrowing hard drives from my fellow airmen, and giving them a huge hook up with my DvD collection that I have "backed up" on my hard drives. I would recommend everyone who knows someone heading out - to help em pass the time, and share the wealth. There are awesome groups such as the USO who help out service members all over the world, with thousands of volunteers. But there's nothing better than a fellow co-worker helping you out directly.

Its going to be a LOTRO weekend for me! My buddy Flint at work is not into the game, along with Bill who brought me into the game. I study for the first time on Tuesday to see if I'll become Ssgt Steinbach. I feel comfortable with testing, I really don't know what to expect considering Ive never taken in, but I'll of course give it my best. And if I make it awesome! but if I don't, then I'll feel even more comfortable at least having some idea, rather than a shot in the dark, about what could be on the test, or how they flow.

Oh and sometime soon I should be getting my two front teeth crowned! This guy (Tim Mishay) from Jr High in Lisle, threw a trapper keeper under my foot, and my front two teeth were the first thing to hit the ground. Well after years of fault front teeth that would chip at least once a year. There was even a time in Highschool when I went to kiss my girlfriend at the time and completely cracked my tooth. lol I played it off and pretended it never happened. I tried to find him on facebook or something haha, couldn't find em, I'll need a yearbook.

Cheers!

Gaming 4 life!

Holy crap Vault is the cheapest and best energy drink ever. Ive had tons of red bull before and it doesn't get me like a vault does. Hows THAT for product placement.

Now Gaming 4 life.... that's right I made the big ass move.... $300 to play LOTRO 4 life! think about it, guys like my buddy Josh have paid about $720 for 4 years of gaming in WoW. 1st that's still cheap ass entertainment obvioulsy, being just 15 bucks a month than 100$ at the bar a month. Either way it well worth it for the enjoyment we get out of the game. Now I just have to get off my ass and do some more traveling!! its too easy to just sit back at home sometimes. Aparently LOTRO has a blogger they use where you can update your gaming habbits. Think I might do that instead of littering my blog with gaming benanderings.

Cheers!

About damn time - Lord of the Rings Online Game Review.

Lord Of the Rings Online - Keith's Game Review

It time for the massive LOTRO game review!! You can also read up on other smart ass game reviews with such games as World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Eve Online, and Sword of the New World. (I couldn't find all my old links hah)

Every game has its strong points, Warhammer has an awesome variety of PvP options, more than any MMO I feel. WoW has the overall user friendly game on their side – such as anyone can truly just pick the game up without ever reading anything. However Lord of the Rings Online has its own field completely dominated, content.

I was never into the hole Lord of the Rings trilogy, sure the movies were cool, but I never went “OMG I cant wait till this comes out!”, I never even read the books, tried to though. However since I started playing I come to find that LOTRO isn’t even focusing around the “rings” mainly. I found out that the developers wanted to focus more on the book. So everything you didn’t see in the movies, you’ll see in the MMO. You meet actually every character in the book, with additional stories. And I’ll say this now… I rarely will ever read a quest; it’s safe to say I will always just skip to the bottom where it gets to the point… However, I will actually read the quest in Lord of the Rings, they’re enjoyable, have character, and are original. Even the map layouts are close replicas from the book. Think about it, developers were pretty much handed pure, premade gold of an epic story. So they had more time to make one hell of a badass PvE game, from content to the detail.

So I’m a sucker for detail, and a game like this is a huge turn on. That’s right, “Bow-Chicka-Bow-WoW” kind of turn on. When I say the graphics are good, I’m talking about “holy crap, is that a shadow from a leaf I see from a mile away” kind of good. Obviously MMO detail can’t be as crazy as “Gears of War” (yet). It would bog the hell out of your internet, and computer trying to process your information with everyone else’s, so you can see it all on time. However this game made everything equally beautiful. Not like games such as Guild Wars, where they make the armor nice, and crank the shiny effect to a million on the environment settings (besides its crazy low on content). Or games like WoW where even someone with a 486 could play, (I all ready went on my WoW rant, so I’m not gonna to touch that n00b fest). Hell LOTRO even makes fishing look badass.

Player housing is another genius idea, and I give it only one more expansion after “The Witch King” until WoW takes the idea and starts player housing. So in LOTRO you basically get rare drops off animals/bosses/during events etc.. These rare items are trophies you can put in your house, or some are the animal you killed, so you get it stuffed (a wolf trophy in our friends house, Jen the Hobbit is poking it). You can even get armor to hang on the walls from bosses you’ve killed. There are even Fellowship (Guild) houses you can buy which are massive, and every race has its own house style, I believe there are 3 different size house’s and the 4th being a guild house.

Now if you’re into roll playing, this game is easily the best to do it in. From the environment settings to the mass amount of emotes you can do for simple simple actions. Not to include the advanced music playing system withing LOTRO!! playing your favorite songs on whatever instrument in game. LOTRO-ABC.com so far I've found seem to be the best one.

I'm going to keep it simple and end it there, with the tons of pictures I've taken since in game. Were also playing with a RL friend of ours, Bill. Who also owns a lifetime account. More MMO's need to adapt the lifetime account idea. Its genious and cheap. Especially if your one of those people who have been playing WoW for almost 4 years now, and are about to hit a grand $ in total payments to Blizzard.

Cheers mates!

Whats been up!!

Alright! So its summer again in England!! yay!! London has all ready had to deal with the G20 Summit in which one person died, and now the Swine Flu has started. I love not watching the news. FOX always seems to make it seem like the worlds about to end, and try's to keep you hooked just to hear the same thing you did an hour ago. On the bright side, this years Londons Game Expo is coming up!!! W00t!!!! and hell yea were going just like last year!!!

I'm also testing for staff, so we'll see how that goes. Im more intrested on finishing my education eventually rather than making staff to be honest. Cause if you make staff, that just means your sticking around for a 15 hour shift instead of a 12, and get a few extra bucks while your at it.

In any case, time to lay back and play some Lord Of the Rings Online! I'll have to do my "Gamers Review" on it, I do them with most game I first try out/beta.

Cheers!

GERMANY!!! 2009

I finally got around to uploading some of our Germany pictures to flickr! YAY! Which can be found right HERE. I only did around 30 now because there's no need to upload all 470 pictures that we took while in Germany, hah. What can I say, I REALLY like having a lot of pictures from where we go. And with our nice camera, hell yea I'm going to put that sucker to good use. I may still upload more from the other places we went, but as of right now I hit my 100mb uploading limit for the month because I still have the free flickr account. Which is great! unless you come back from a massive trip, hah.

So we met an AWESOME couple from Italy while in Edelweiss. And we now have a hook up there, so were looking to sometime head down there and hang out with 'em. They also LOVE hooka, and even brought one down to Edelweiss.

While we were there we spent about $300 on spa treatment alone, because it was around $80 bucks for a 1 hour back massage, so everything was cheap as hell and we felt like balers, :P lol. I even did a facial - thats right - I said it - a facial, and it was amazing. We went to a bunch of monastery and churches, course we hit up Neuschwanstein castle which was amazing! I put a lot of pictures on my flickr of that place. Went to a place where they make tons of cheese, and also headed to Munich for a day, which is HUGEEE. Hands down, it was one hell of a week. Got back on Friday, and enjoyed the rest of the weekend at home after our trip! lol, before heading back to work. All while only having to take 5 days of leave.

I got into the slacking mode with my blog again, I'm determined to hit 100 post before July! hah. Posting is actually fun when you have the time, and it has nothing to do with how many people read it, so its enjoyable.

Back from Germany!!!!

Me and Jen are back in England from a week holiday in Germany!!! In and around Edelweiss Lodge and Resort. We took a TON of day trips and now our camera has 470 pictures on it! of course I wont be putting them all on flicker, but just the main idea ones about what we did. We also just spent the entire day last night cleaning the house and emptying our suitcases, since we were in a mad rush as we left the house for our trip.

Pictures soon to come! YAY!!

Going a million miles an hour!

Holy crap its been busy. I wanna make a quick post for now. I have tons of flickr pics to upload, even from months ago while we were in London during the New Year. I'm working on 4 different knuckle buster (KB) videos at work. Won Airmen of the year in our squadron which was wicked. And finally getting ready to head to Germany!! and the Netherlands!! to meet up with Eric our SL homie, and for me and Jen to go on our 2 year Anniversery in Germany for a five star resort. Its gonna be wicked and im trying to figure out how to get everything done in a short amount of time. And the KB is 3 days before we leave! Hope it all goes smooth! lol it soooo wont. Oh and we went paintballing last Sat!! have some awesome pics of that! hah.

A wedding video!! whaaaa, thats rightttt!!!

I had time this weekend and thought I would take up the job! Sure I don't do it full time anymore, but its pretty cool people are still passing my name around after a year. Word of mouth is awesome. So since I still have the NSS server, here are the videos!!

Wolf's_Wedding_20.4mb's_1mbpsDOTmov

I rendered them in a low enough size that it should take little time to "download/scream" in game. anything over 50mb would show more lag time depending on the server.

Longest day of Secondlife

I think me and Jen played second life every minuet of the day today. Well me at least, she still drifts off into Warhammer sometimes. But WOW, I finished adding 2 entire sets of the mecha legs. Which may not sound a lot to some, but when you consider the fact of having to make the Ad for em, upload to Xstreet, and update in your shop, its a lot of running around to do. In addition Im almost ready to put 2 more products on the shelfs! depending if I want to buy a 2k linden script from a guy though =\ craps expensive! and not really any sales. I blame the worlds economy!! Jen also went nuts today with skins. heres her new BLOG! just for her cute store called "Glitter Factory".

Gotta give props to all those sculptie makers who do everything from scratch like baking the textures in a graphics program and making the sculpt it self. I guess once you really get the hang of it that really helps though. I gave it a good go, and damn I really wish I went to school for that stuff. theres a guy I went to highschool with that a long time ago I was trying to get him into Second Life, this was WELL before Sculpties. Now he would really be making bank. Im having fun though working with other sculpties people have made, it makes building for me faster, but of course textures are a problem a lot, because you only get to use 1. And if you dont have the baked texture for it, theres no way its going to look as good.

And still 1 more day left in the weekend! w00t!!!

Onrez alone took a good 2 hours out of the handful I have when getting off work during the week. but tomorrow FRIDAY!!! w00t w00t!. Hope to accomplish some projects besides the ones that have been kicking my ass scripting/coding wise. about it for today!

UGH BLAHhh Booogaahh

<---- Screw Sony to little bits and burn the left overs. Go figures the HD camera I bought, has a serial number that happens to fall into a category called "fucked". All footage uploaded from the camera in HD mode has a problem with data and sound. So occasionally every few seconds there will be colored blocks on the screen, missing audio, or just complete messed up audio. On top of that the firmware they released to fix this problem, cant be installed onto the camera because of an unknown error called 100:0. So after Ive been put in charge mostly of editing this years knuckle buster videos, I find this out. Which leaves me probably doing 40 times more work just trying to figure out a way to edit around all the random bits of colored blocks that show up. Seriously - thanks Sony, and excuse my french but I hope the crappy economy makes you bankrupt and your forced to fire people for making shitty ass equipment and software. You've been bringing it upon your self all these years. Spent 2 hours trying to install their jacked up firmware. It has me so frustrated (and its hard to get me frustrated or pissed off) I almost didn't post my new mecha gear =\ and that's fun! Anyways here it is on the B-Cyberpunk blog and on Xstreet SL.

Work in progress and uber Dexter!

I am now completely addicted to sculpties. After spending a lot of time learning Maya, 3Dmax studio, and a handful of other programs. I come to learn that a lot of the shapes I'm looking for are all ready made by the people who have been doing 3D graphics for a living. So after spending hours of looking for what I need for various projects, I finally have it! Before I was deterred a lot because I no longer was kept up on Second Life happenings and building changes. Granted I was never that up on it in the first place, but I at least give it a good try! Also after putting my store on Xstreet Ive all ready made sales, and its cool as hell =D after being gone so long, its cool to see work I did years ago, still sell. Now that I'm back in Second Life, I hope to dish out the ideas I keep coming up with with out getting deterred (which sometimes can happen quite easily) . To the left is some behind the scenes work from today =D

As for DEXTER! now holy crap that's a great unique show. Over the last few months me and Jen have been watching all of season 1, 2 and just finished up 3 today. Honestly its one of those shows that never lets you down I think, and that's rare with series. I never got into "Heroes" but apparently everyone was wetting their panties because season 1 was so good, then they all damn near killed over how bad season 2 was. In any cause, I highly recommend you watch this series, and when it comes out, I even say it's well worth buying. That's right, I said it

here is to this week being smooth and have short working days! cheers!
and later days.
